Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q. How can I hire your services?

The best way to contact us is to fill out our contact us form, so you can discuss your party decoration needs with one of our professional balloon designers or phone us.  We may not answer right away, so please leave a message with your name and number and date of your event.  One of our designers will return your call within 24 hours.

Q. How long in advance should I place my order?

In order to allow enough time to work together on the details of your order, we recommend that all jobs be booked/confirmed at least two week in advance.

Q. What will be the delivery and setup charges or extra fees?

There is a 50.00 charge to set up and take down decorations at your event within a 30 mile radius or $100.00 if over 30 miles away.

There is a $15.00 delivery fee outside our service area for deliveries.  

All equipment, such as poles, bases, feathers, etc. are the sole property of The Sunshine Balloon Company/Air Raising Events.  We require a 25.00 deposit for equipment.  If any equipment is missing or damaged when an associate returns after the event, the 25.00 is forfeited to cover the loss and/ or damages.  Additional fees may be assessed depending on the equipment that was damaged or lost. 

Q. Who will set-up my decoration and how long will it take?

Depending on the size of your order you can expect a team of one to two balloon designers. Our team will be wearing The Sunshine Balloon Company or Air Raising Events uniforms so you can recognize them. Depending on the size and design of your decoration, it can take about half an hour to 4 hours for our team to build and set up your balloon decoration.

Q. How and when do I have to pay?

In order to book your event we required a deposit of 50% and the remaining balance is due the 3 days prior to the day of the event. Payments can be made by credit cards, checks, cash, through Paypal, Venmo or Cash app.

Q. In what area do you offer your Balloons Decoration Services?

We offer our balloon decoration services to clients in Western New York.

Q. What if I need to cancel?

Orders can be canceled 72 hours prior to the event, and the deposit is non refundable.

Q. How long will the decor last?

That depends on the environmental conditions and if the decor is air-filled, or helium filled.   A regular 11″ helium balloon has a lifespan of about 18 hours.  We can extend the float time by use of Hi-Float, a polymer that is added to the balloon prior to inflation.  This can increase the float time by several days.  Air-filled decor can last for days or even weeks under the right conditions.

Q. Are balloons biodegradable or can they be recycled?

There are two types of balloons, foil (sometimes called mylar) and latex. Foil balloons are not biodegradable, but can be recycled. Latex balloons can't be recycled, but are biodegradable.

Q. I don't know what I want, can you help me figure it out?

Absolutely!  When you call to talk to one of The Sunshine Balloon Company/Air Raising Event designers, they will ask you questions about your event and the purpose of the decor- that is whether you are trying to attract attention to a focal point, or going for an overall ambiance.  If you have already figured out your approximate budget, our designers can help by suggesting packages and decor alternatives that match your goals with your specific budget in mind.
